ENG_UNA MAMÁ DE UN MILLÓN 2022-23_

Una mamá de un millón is an audiovisual installation that uses archive material to analyse and question the discourses and representations of "disability families" from the late Francoist period to the arrival of democracy, in an exercise of historical memory and research of what we could call our own genealogy. Halfway between an essayistic and autobiographical account, the artist dialogues with the images that lead her to know the story of La Mamá del Millón, and through this, her own.

Una mamá de un millón is an exhibition project carried out with the help of the Bòlit Centre d'Art Contemporani, included in its programme together with the exhibition "Els desconeguts de sempre", in the Bòlit's interest in analysing the subject of "mental health and orientation/disorientation" from a reflective, diverse, creative, transversal perspective, intertwined with many other aspects of our lives.

Una mamá de un millón es una instalación audiovisual que sirviéndose de material de archivo
analiza y cuestiona los discursos y representaciones de las «familias con diversidad» desde el tardofranquismo hasta la llegada de la democracia en un ejercicio de memoria histórica
como búsqueda de una posible genealogía propia.
A caballo entre el relato ensayístico y autobiográfico, la artista dialoga con las imágenes que la llevan a conocer la historia de La Mamá del Millón y a través de esta la suya propia.

Una mamá de un millón es un proyecto expositivo realizado con la ayuda del Bòlit Centre d'Art Contemporani de Girona, inscrito en su programación junto con la exposición «Els desconeguts de sempre» en el interés del Bòlit por analizar el tema de la «salud mental y la orientación/desorientación» desde una perspectiva reflexiva, diversa, creativa, transversal, imbricada con otros muchos aspectos de nuestra vida.
